Out of Africa is Karen Blixen’s memoir of her years on a Kenyan coffee plantation. Isak Dinesen the pen name she wrote under after she lost her farm and returned to Denmark.

There was lots of confusion over the date of International Coffee Day this year, but it is indeed today. September 29th was National Coffee Day in the U.S., but today is the very first official International Coffee Day, as established by the International Coffee Organization’s 75 member states and dozens of coffee associations from around the world.
